About Financial Aid

The deserving students of Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam are awarded scholarships, free ships, cash grants and other financial assistance by the University.

Financial support is also provided through different government departments, educational directorates, district education boards, Bait-ul-Mal and other scholarship programs.

Duration and Continuation

Scholarships and free ships are usually awarded for one academic year. The continuation of financial aid is subject to the student’s satisfactory academic performance each year.

Provincial Scholarships

  • Students from Balochistan may receive scholarships through their respective government departments.
  • Students from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may receive scholarships through their Directorates of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry.
  • Students from Gilgit Baltistan may also receive scholarships through their respective government departments.
  • Banks and financial institutions may provide loans to meritorious students on soft payment terms.

Need-Based Scholarship Programs

HEC-USAID Scholarships

Need-based scholarships are granted on poverty basis and may cover major educational expenses of deserving students.

HEC-JAICA Scholarships

Scholarships are also provided under HEC-JAICA need-based scholarship programs for financially deserving students.

Covered Expenses

These scholarships may cover tuition fees, hostel fees, transportation, books and other educational expenses.

Job Opportunities for Graduates

The University aims to promote rapid transfer of technology to the farming community through the continued output of graduates and postgraduates. Graduates disseminate modern technical knowledge to farmers for improving agricultural productivity.

  • Agricultural graduates may work as farm managers in agricultural estates.
  • Graduates may work as specialists in agriculture and allied sciences.
  • Opportunities are available in public, private, autonomous and semi-autonomous organizations.
  • Graduates may work in agricultural extension, research, teaching, fisheries, forestry and cooperatives.
